The initial plan was to make some jam muffins because the jam is going to expire but I could not resist making these after seeing that bag of fresh walnuts Mom bought home. Plus, she is such a fan of walnuts I know she will go crazy seeing these out of the oven. The GL-sis left her mapleworld for a few minutes and helped!
I love all the brown and crispy crusts. I cannot resist thinking how they would be if coupled with chocolate or some fruity element inside...
